Monte Warden

Monte Warden

It has been over a year since Monte last performed at Sessions On Mary when he delighted the crowd with incredible stories of his decades-long musical journey. He's got more stories to share and new songs to sing at this unconventional showcase.

Monte Warden is something like a 7th generation Texan, Buddy Holly historian, and (according to his FB page) a hit makin’ sumbich since 1983.

With his band The Wagoneers, Monte traveled the world, appeared in hit country music videos, and was proclaimed by Rolling Stone Magazine to be part of 'the greatest honky tonk band that ever was." You can see the Wagoneers at The Saxon Pub most Wednesdays.

Monte Warden and The Dangerous Few currently play Thursday evenings (opposite Mojo) at The Gallery. A departure from honky tonk, this band delivers all-original music for adults in the style of the classic crooners.

Monte is also a hit song writer for George Strait with Desperately, a song that would top on the Billboard at #6 in January 2004 and be re-released several more times providing mucho deniro. Monte will be the first to recommend that you go ahead and write a hit song.
