Music During the Day
Barbara Nesbitt & Nevada Newman
open FarmTastic for the second time. There’s always a lot going on with Barbara and Nevada. This year Nevada brought the drama to their UK tour, but that likely didn’t help his acting career. We’ll find out, along with an update on Barbara’s Monday Night Supper Club, her band Sister Golden Hair, and their many other projects.
Austin Atherton
makes his FarmTastic debut after impressing the Farm Time crowd in November. Austin’s mom’s impact on south Austin music comes to life in his original songs, music making, and performances. Enjoy Austin at FarmTastic and invest in great music for generations to come.
Jimmie Dreams & Marshall Hood
dazzle south Austin music fans almost every day. Jimmie with Earl Poole Ball on Saturday and Marshall with his band on Sunday light up their guitars at the Continental Club. You can also catch Marshall at ABGB on Wednesdays and Jimmie at Sam’s Town Point on Thursdays. Catch them together this Sunday at FarmTastic.
Robb Kidd
brought so many bands to the Farm in 2020 and 2021 that he may have saved our sanity. You might witness Robb like we did behind the kit with Black Angels, Grouchy Like Riley, Golden Dawn Orchestra, Matt Hubbard Trio, Marshall Hood Band, 8 ½ Souveniers, or Patrice Pike. With Jimmie and Marshall at FarmTastic Seven.
Gal Dangit
are soulful musicians with engaging and eclectic songs, harmonies, grooves, and humor. Wendy Hale Davis on guitar, Lisa Fancher on vocals, mandolin, and banjo, & Joanna Howerton rocking it with her big voice and accordion. It'lll be FarmTastic fun, dangit!
Devin White
is one-third of the Mojo Working Happy Hour phenomena that defined Sessions On Mary. Devin’s originals are the perennial crowd favorites! Either on guitar or pounding drums, you might also find Devin with the erupting Paige Plaisance or another great Austin band.
Mandy Rowden
returns to FarmTastic Folk Festival! We’ll get Mandy’s updates on her popular community project Girl Guitar, any new music, and being a home owner. Her incredible 10-song album Parachute where she took on most of the instrumentation def belongs in your collection.
Grey Horse
and Mula return to FarmTastic for a musical retrospect. Samuel became The Sixth Street Cowboy after an unfortunate late-night incident. He later changed his last name to Grey Horse, a show of his Native roots. Many of Sam’s songs reflect this distinctive journey.
Joe Ben
has been creating musical waves in Austin from the times of grunge rock. Joe Ben’s live projects are as varied as the instruments he plays - drums, theremin, pedal steel, synth, cello. In the studio, Joe Ben’s a certified audio engineer. Catch Joe Ben live at FarmTastic 7.
Magical Mystical Michael
is not a typical Magician. By combining his wit, charm, and "sleight" attitude he delivers a show laced with eccentric and illusive logic. Check out his entertaining magic of the mind, eyes, and hands monthly at Quackenbush (returning in spring 2024) and at FarmTastic 7.
Deann René & Kris Brown
inspire us all to celebrate the successes after putting in the hard work. This year saw the official release of Paint a Dream by Deann and Kris became, in his words, “a legit ologist now.” Come celebrate your successes and find out what’s up with Deann and Kris at FarmTastic 7.
